A single companion,
Not even that. Loneliness can’t be, Pulled out of a hat. It comes to you, Tracks you down. Won’t go away, Beginning to drown. So lonely, Even the bubbles won’t stay, As you fall deeper, Into the ocean, fading away. This state of mind, Starts to become, A habit, unnoticeable, An unbearable sum. A black hole, In the bottom of the sea, Falling through, Breaking you and me. Words aren’t enough, To describe the pain. In need of help, Going insane. When there’s no cure, Hopelessness settles in. Another soul, Thrown in the waste bin. Impossible to find, A single friend. Wanting life, To come to an end. No! Don’t say that! There’s Still Hope! Who are we kidding? We aren’t the pope. Can’t think like that, Cleansing souls like soap. Walls caving in, Tighter, can’t breathe. No door, no window, Nothing but me. That is how, Loneliness goes. Unimaginable pain, No one knows.
