Life Has Changed!

     If I think about it, it is truly amazing all that has changed for me since my last post on this website. I decided that I wasn't feeling the novel enough, so that is on the back burner for now.  I know it's a disappointment, but I wouldn't have done my best if I had just kept going with something that I wasn't really into at the moment.  I have continued poetry, though, and I'll start posting that in my poetry section. 
     Just recently I've started to really get into the guitar and teaching myself how to play some of my favorite songs in both tab and chord form; it's honestly right up there with writing as far as my life goes.  I may even use some of my poetry as lyrics and write a song! :D
     Now here's the big news that will surprise almost anyone reading this; if you know my father, you know my family has a huge interest in gaming. I haven't ever really been interested, but recently I've been playing a game called Minecraft and I'm in love with it now! It's a game with no rules and I can do whatever I want; don't even have to try and rebel! Since that, I realized that I wanted to do something bigger with it. On May 23rd I started my own YouTube channel where I upload videos of my gameplay along with commentary and I also have videos with gamer friends. It's such an amazing experience; including the hours of editing and recording! I love it all and it's motivated me to change some of my business classes in high school to technology-related classes. I can't wait to learn more about all of this. I've gained almost 200 subscribers on YouTube is just two months, along with 2,500 upload views which is practically unheard of in the world of YouTube beginners so I'm very proud!!! I also recently partnered with a network that works with me to enhance my channel so Minecraft lovers can enjoy it. 
    Woah, what? Carmen, you're a writer, not a gamer. I know, I know....I guess I haven't really been completely comfortable with it until now. I no longer care if people have expectations that exclude gaming. It's who I am and what I love to do. :)

     From now on, I think I might post some little rambles about my life and what's going on. Perhaps crack a few jokes, explain why things happen because I certainly know *sarcasm*, and offer my thoughts on thoughts. Enjoy!
